About Me

I was born on a farm in Chorley; and as such I acquired certain skills, knowledge and understanding of the countryside that a person living in a town or city would never have the chance to experience and develop.

Mole catching and rabbit control where two aspects of being brought up on a working farm that you became reasonably proficient at with out really knowing at the time.

Originally my molecatching was done for favours or to help friends and neighbours who had a mole problem. I seemed to have the special aptitude and skills required, catching moles easily and without the problems and frustrations that most people experience when trying to catch a mole.

More recently with the removal of strychnine hydrochloride in 2006 as an approved substance for mole control on agricultural land, I realised the services of the traditional molecatcher would be more sought after. As once again landowners realised how safely and effective a professional mole catcher could reduce a mole infestation. So I set about turning my therapeutic hobby and interest into a full time career.

I live in a semi rural village just outside of Preston and make good use of the motorway network, the M6, M61, M65, M55, M62, M58, and M57 to reach most areas of Lancashire very quickly.

I am accredited to The Guild Of British Molecatchers at the current highest level, Level 3 and have recently been awarded the title of Master Molecatcher.

The National Pest Technicians Association, in conjunction with the Guild of British Molecatchers, presented this award. It involved independent verification of my practical molecatching skills and abilities and the use of good working practices. Any person with domestic or wild animals under their control must be aware of the legal requirements of the Animal Welfare Act 2006; to reduce any pain and suffering that may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

"Any mole caught in a trap becomes a Protected Animal under the Animal Welfare Act 2006, making it an offence to cause unnecessary suffering." Taken from Natural England website

I have £5 million full public liability, Click HERE to see the policy

I do not charge any Call Out Fees, or ask for any Up Front Charges of any type. You only pay when I have caught your mole. There is no charge what so ever if I do not catch your mole.

My No Mole – No Fee policy means literally that.

The actual cost is based on a “per mole” caught fee. So similar sized locations can have different charges depending on the number of moles caught on each site. I will however be able to give a reasonably accurate figure as to the number of moles using a location after a site inspection, this is free and without obligation. I always like to inform you of the anticipated costs before work commences, and keep you informed of day’s results if the work is going to take more than one day.

Traps are inspected and checked at least once a day
